Stephano Espinoza Galarza was born in 1992 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He received his MFA from the Yale School of Art, Yale University; and his BA in Social and Cultural Analysis from New York University. His works have been exhibited at Paul Soto, New York, USA; Media Agua, Quito, Ecuador; Juniin, Guayaquil, Ecuador; Yale School of Art, New Haven, USA; UTA Art Space, Beverly Hills, USA; Centro de Arte Contemporáneo, Quito, Ecuador; and Casa de la Cultura, Quito, Ecuador, amongst other venues. He has been an artist in residence at Centro de Arte Contemporaneo, Quito, Ecuador; Museo Antropológico y de Arte Contemporaneo (MAAC), Guayaquil, Ecuador, and UNIDEE University of Ideas, Fondazione Pistoletto, Biella, Italy. He's the recipient of the Elisabeth Greenshields Grant, Metropolitan Studies Co-Chair Award at NYU, and YoungArts Award in Visual Arts. His work has been mentioned in ArtForum, El Comercio, El Telégrafo, La Hora, El Universo, Artishock, Terremoto and others.
